Why You’re Craving Salt (And What Does Too Much Salt Do to Your Body)

from the over processed junk Morton's table salt, it's just doesn't have
anything in it that you need. A good quality salt is gonna give you those trace minerals that

quality pink Himalayan salt or a good quality sea salt. So if you're like me, you might be craving something savory instead of something sweet. Well, guess what, you're
craving something salty, but you reach for the bag of chips. Not good. So what we wanna do is we wanna make sure that we
get that sodium in your body, get your sodium levels up with a good quality Code Red approved, not Doritos, but something better. And I know this might sound
a little weird to you, but what we'd like our
Code Red rebels to do is we'd like them to
add a teaspoon of salt to their gallon of water. Yeah, I know, shake, shake,
shake, drink it down. You need the sodium.

Why do you think we put out
salt blocks for livestock? You need the sodium. And a lot of times when
you have sugar cravings, it means that you are
too low in your sodium. But we have been brainwashed
to believe in our society that you got to keep
your sodium levels low. No, a ketogenic lifestyle or on Code Red which is similar to ketogenic
lifestyle, but not quite, we don't eat foods that
hang on to a lot of sodium. Plus, we drink a lot of water, so therefore we're
flushing a lot of sodium through our body, not good guys, you wanna replenish that sodium. So, we asked you to
put salt in your water, salt on your food. We asked you to use
electrolyte replacements like Ultima, apple cider
vinegar, things like that to get those electrolytes up
in your body, including sodium.

And also a reason for you craving sweets could be dehydration and a lack of sleep. I can tell you right now, when I am tired, I will crave sweets. And that's the reason because my body is
trying to keep me awake, and it's gonna get the fastest,
quickest form of fuel energy and that's gonna be sugar. So you wanna make sure that you are getting adequate sleep and adequate hydration to
keep those cravings away. A lot of times if you're
craving something crunchy, and you're wanting to reach for the chips, a great thing to reach
for instead, pork rinds.

That's gonna be something that
is totally Code Red approved and also it's gonna give you
that sodium that you need, make sure you get a
good quality pork rind. Not something from the Dollar Store, don't get crap, but get
a good quality pork rind and snack away, you're gonna feel that you're a lot more satisfied
after having some of those. And you'll get that kind of
that crunch that you're craving. You also might be craving
salt out of boredom, stress, or even PMS. The next time you're
experiencing a salt craving, think about what's going on in your life. Have you been eating real food, drinking lots of water, sleeping well? Our society has led us to believe, need I say brainwash us into believing that you wanna limit your sodium intake, but that's actually not true. On Code Red, you want
four to 5000 milligrams of sodium a day and
that's perfectly healthy, if you're drinking all that water and if you're eating the right foods.

Keep in mind as you continue
