got some stuff i found off camera here well first
let me see i'm gonna go do some dumpster diving i'm not sure where i'm gonna go this is a
sunday about 3 p.m so we've got basically the whole area open to us i was thinking about
going north and then deciding but anyways here's some stuff i found off camera nice little pair of
nice little pair of nikes for the freetail store. those are a touch small for me i was hoping those
would fit me. this for next freetail load and then super exciting aluminum frying pan nice little level look at that project source
it's functional all three of the bubbles work a little piece of aluminum i could
scrap that if i want to but uh it's nice little level i'll probably keep that and everyone's favorite nice bits of copper look
at that i like that that's the good stuff. i really underestimated
the copper in my last video that was three pounds it'd be worth
about ten dollars and twenty cents. that's basically a ten dollar
bill right there you're looking at that's how it's done folks! i normally don't take these cans.
Sometimes when
they're right in front of my face i'll take them if there's not a bunch of liquid in them those little motors i might have a that's close that's close to a pound. probably not quite. that might be close to two pounds of romex
right there. nice wire i'll take the the bare bright copper out of there and add it to this so
it'll be a pound a pound of bear bright copper there i guess i'll take it nice doesn't look like much but that's that's a
great start really probably might be closer to two pounds copper pound or two of uh number one
insulated copper there's probably a pound or two two pounds number one insulated copper um
i can get dirty brass out of that big chunk so lots of scrap yards might actually give
me number one that's the copper wire for this for those of you that might be going to the
scrap yard no that's going to be a number two insulated copper wire see the content
that's a that's a lot of insulation sheesh that's definitely number two uh i was expecting
i was expecting more copper in that thing anyways number two is good number two is it like
a dollar fifteen dollar twenty last time number one insulated copper wire what it
what was it? dollar seventy or eighty.
That bare bright it was at three dollars it's
been three dollars forty cents three dollars sixty cents last couple weeks. very next dumpster
there's like an old computer monitor in there and a little piece of tin back there one of
those black plastic stackable shelves in there and a mop bucket mop ringer and that type of stuff lots of this kind of stuff was out here i
just i stopped showing it at a point because i don't want to bore my viewers but in my last
video i found some monitors some old monitors and i was saying they're all-in-one
computers i think i was wrong about that but uh the older like this is an older one
these older monitors and flat screen tvs we'll have chunky transformers in them and
be just basically loaded with with the scrap i mean not loaded not super valuable the new
ones are just basically plastic and light plastic check this out there's some oh no it's just cheap cheapy
cheap cheap um two of these sterilite drawers storage drawers these are probably
thirty forty dollars i would imagine um looks like that one's got some pepsi or
some coca-cola sprayed on it no big deal but uh i already went through them they're empty
i just wanted to show you wanted stuff like that these you could probably find a couple
of these in a week or so maybe first day um anyways lots and lots and lots of usable stuff so it's a little electric motor in
there if you want to go after that this is one of those dumpsters that's manufactured
wrong see where the welder welded these inside sheets well i guess it'd be the triangle tube too
low but it's making it making that stick up there that's where you whack your elbows and your
wrists it's a dumpster diver's digger sparkle it's a dumpster divers uh what's
up what's a good phrase for that dumpster divers hip bone hip bone happening i just can't think of one let
me know in the comments what a good one would be. what's under here just out of curiosity? stench and wetness and grossness! leave a little piggy tail unless in
case someone wants to come by here and uh salvage that vacuum cleaner if
they want to test it out real quick they can just splice the cord i learned that from
youtube after i came to youtube i made videos like hey man why don't you leave a little piggy
tail because a lot of people hate hate cord cutters a lot of people like to get stuff like
that not just vacuum cleaners but all kinds of electronics so basically when it's outside
the dumpster i'll start leaving little piggy tails um hmm so wow so so um so so yes so so so there's some kind of some kind of gizmo down there can you hear can you hear that? i always get a kick out of that.
Look at
this place it's about that time of year where mosquitoes will start breeding here. this is going
to be a health hazard right there what you think? you're a tough guy huh so uh gold plated pins on there. boardsort.com takes
those. you might have a scrap yard or some place that might buy those. i don't know if the
gopro can pick that up. see the gold? the gold pins gold-plated pins in there? um
i also found these little package of uh ends for communications wires see
all the gold plate in there mosquito dang it i was just talking about mosquitoes look
at that um still a gold plate of pins in there so e-waste ben is a channel who's been
hoarding that stuff for a long time i think i was kind of born out of needing to pay rent
in a couple weeks and needing to make fast money right now so i never really got into hoarding
stuff uh until here recently with the addition of making youtube videos um it's not now i can
hoard stuff and that might be a good idea now oh i guess i guess i guess that's always been a
good idea but now it might really pay off this i've been finding a lot of these older tvs um i
know one video i said older tvs it sounds like i'm talking about the glass tube crt tvs but
the older the first generations of flat screens show you all these transformers in there there's
actually pretty good scrap metal in these uh that would be one where you could probably
scrap out the problem is where i live they don't they don't know no uh scrapyards
take these unless they have the screens taken out they don't take the screen
i think the screens jam up their uh their shredders there might be other problems
too i don't know exactly how that works i've never had a tour through a big mill
scrap yard before but that's an aluminum case or i mean a metal tin metal case and uh
look at these transformers over there see that there's two there
there's a couple over there these things are just loaded with transformers
those are big blocks of aluminum i do believe um that would be a good one to scrap
out actually so i've probably said many times in my videos these aren't
worth scrapping out but that's a lot of situational stuff in here
so i got to be careful what i say that's a situation where yeah you could you could
definitely take that home and get some money what is that right there that's catching my
eye right there it almost looks like a cpu chip i know it's not though i think it's not this
shouldn't have a cpu chip in it should it oh you know what i'm gonna come back
and get that i'm gonna scrap that out i'm gonna make a scrap video down the line
somewhere i got some other wire in here too so and turn the camera on for but uh you
know what i'm gonna come back and get that i don't want to haul around with me right now
that's probably heavy oh yeah shoot this heavy oh jeez yeah it feels like it's about 80
pounds um i'm gonna come back and get that i don't wanna have to haul
around for the rest of the video down the line i'm gonna make a video scrapping
out some old ones and then i'll find some new ones and like the ones that just got broken screens
they're like a couple months old or whatever and i'll scrap each kind out and compare them the
difference is going to be pretty pretty wild it's there's a big difference they've really found
a way to uh use a lot less gold a lot less copper a lot less metal so that that'd be
good video that's a good tv to do it my last video i found three old ones too i found an older one earlier today
that's why am i seeing all older ones is there a reason for that hmm my last video i
found a keg from this place this is actually in a different city this is up where i live i found
it about seven miles from here about ten miles nine miles away and this place is actually
close to where i live so i'm gonna go see there's a new guy running the place all by himself
that has no idea he said come back wednesday alrighty then i was talking about hoarding
gold and stuff um i meant to say something about bitcoin i i have i have
been hoarding computers computer circuit boards to send into boardsort.com
and i've scrapped so many computers doing this that i i likely have scrapped bitcoin
i may have skipped a million dollars worth of bitcoin i may have script 10 million i may
have scrapped 100 million dollars worth of uh bitcoin the hard drives of
computers they say about four or five maybe more million bitcoin have been lost
forever so uh i might have up to 100 hard drives that i was saving to uh scrap and send a
board sort but i'm just going to save them now that is one thing i've been hoarding
so with bitcoin it's really secure and it's almost impossible to hack into a hard
drive if you don't have the seed phrases the seed wires the passcode the
passwords it's almost impossible but but anyone out there listening you need you
should hold on to any hard drives you have keep them totally intact don't take the board off
or anything save i would recommend saving your hard drive because you know 10 15 years we might
have quantum computers and a quantum computer can actually can actually hack into stuff really
quickly it would be able to find the the passwords and stuff so you could hack into hard drives in
10 to 20 years give or take whenever the first quantum computers come out it can definitely be
done so i might have millions of dollars worth of bitcoin and i don't even know it you know i might
i might be i might have a hundred million dollars that i've that i've hoarded and just by
default right just totally by accident just because i was the one thing i was basically
been hoarding for more than a couple years is is computer circuit boards um this is a ice
maker i have a refrigerator these are nice pieces of cast aluminum that brown thing there's
a nice hunk of aluminum about four pounds or so you could clean that up if you want i'm just gonna
leave it at this i'll get aluminum breakers for it i found another one of these the exact same
thing look at it and see remember i cut the end off that's a different different one it's
the exact same chord i mean same type of chord uh what else did i find in here um a couple
more insulated copper wires i didn't talk about this dude that's a blu-ray player actually
seeing lots of those now that blu-rays have been around for a while lots of them are breaking
down and it looks like it got hot look at it huh but that's those are nice cards right there
i could handle finding those all day long anyways hard drives aren't worth all that much in scraps
so you might want to get yourself a tote or a box in the corner of wherever you store stuff
you might want to save onto them hard drives because there will come a day where
computers are advanced enough to just hack hack through that kind of stuff passwords won't
be anything to a quantum computer so there's that and actually you might be able to go into the
hard drive some people don't know how to do that there might be somewhere on the computer where
they have the seed phrases the seed words the they use the password for bitcoin they might
have it stored somewhere else in the computer right so uh that's a possibility man it's a strong
possibility that you could hack it right now not not even hack it that you
might be able to find a password you know i don't know i might be a i might have
100 million dollars right now i don't even know it and there might be without it without
a doubt there's computers out there in our in our world without a doubt there's
computers out there where there's lost bitcoin this i mean a lot of them are probably in the
landfill already a lot of them have probably been shredded up at the scrapyard mills a lot
of them have probably been thrown into the the smelter you know so lots of them are gone forever
but without a doubt there's still some out there so like if you come across a situation
like you clean out a hoarding house or and you know any situation you see
where i mean if you see any computer it's particularly the ones
that are uh 10 years old bitcoin came out 2009.
And this might sound stupid
to some people you don't want to listen to it but this i mean out there somewhere that there
are computers that have bitcoin on them bitcoin was invented about 11
years ago 12 years ago so computers that were made 13 14 15 years ago you know in
that general area is the prime target i mean computers today might have them too but the ones
the ones from back in those days when bitcoin was less than a penny and no one cared about them
without a doubt they're out there somewhere man without a doubt there's computers out there with
millions and millions and millions of dollars worth of bitcoin probably billions is when bitcoin
keeps going up in price probably 100 probably hundreds of billions right maybe one day there's
a trillion you know there might be a trillion dollars of bitcoin sitting in computers right now
you know in the price of bitcoin in 20 years right um hmm um hmm a little brand new mobile dvd with a car headset mounting dual screens mobile dvd system what do you think
about that i like finding new stuff new stuff is good speaking of e-waste here we go that might be worth some money i don't know if that's got a
board in it or not let's find out farkle i don't know if it's got a a board like a cell phone that can send a board
so let's find out here we go that's a stubborn little dude um that's kind of a weird looking deal i think that
actually is gold plate but it's not as it's not as bright as it should be it almost looks like it's
almost looks like it's mixed with something else huh it's not a bad little board though i wonder if i wonder if there's gonna
if that if that is mixed with something because this definitely is not not gold
play or gold flashing it's the wrong color um hmm uh that's the problem in summertime or when the
weather gets warm and the winter time that plastic would be so brittle it would just uh shatter
right away there's two little motors in there but i'm not gonna put too much work
into it these are nice little chairs really comfortable actually like lobby
sit down and wait in a lobby chair those are nice man um i don't want to just
put stuff back outside the dumpster so someone might want these leave a little indicator i might come back and
snatch those up when i come back out for the big tv see how it goes i don't really have a
need for those but they're so nice comfortable comfortable little dudes nothing super fantastic but
that's not a bad little load uh this is that dumpster where i found the night
vision goggles and the golf swing analyzer deal all those textbooks i already sold one textbook
right away on amazon uh the golf analyzer deal and the night vision goggles are on auction right
now on ebay they've both sold what's a little bit of time left on the auction but uh this is
probably this is probably more illegal dumping i'm just guessing it might not be but this is
a dumpster a dumpster like this would be one where us people can pull right up real quick it
looks like it's a almost a vacant looking building so dumpsters like this will get a
lot of illegal dumping dumpsters behind grocery stores and dumpsters
behind churches and that kind of stuff where people clear out at certain hours you know
middle of night no one's ever going to be there um lots and lots and lots of illegal dumping so so so that's probably going to be scrappy i go
to will give me clean brass for that a lot of the scrap yards might not do that but
i don't want to give out bad information scrapyard to go to can call it white brass
which most scrap yards probably will not do but that's probably two or three pounds a
dollar eighty so three about 360.
Minimum minimum three dollars sixty cents on
the breast right there the sink is uh five cents a pound is ten shred this is another
piece of brass it could be pushing three pounds all together i have to take that plastic off
there and these bolts need to come off too and copper that might be a quarter pound of
copper versus maybe 80 90 cents technically i found out why it's so heavy
yeah this one's gonna be fun i'm usually wearing eye protection when i do
stuff like this probably don't say that enough wow well never mind never you mind
that is that is not gonna break it's plexiglas i never knew that i
did not know that that is plexiglas underneath there is real glass
and that's got some good weight to it i'd like to get that out of there
while it's in a dumpster but uh shoot uh oh never mind i was mistaken that is not plexiglas that that's glad that's amazingly strong
that's i think that's almost a bulletproof like safety glass i don't think
plexiglas doesn't break like that that's impressive stuff that was
probably a really expensive tv huh what was that a plasma or something um well shoot um ugh um hmm technically i get to screen out the
scrap yards will take it like that just as one piece so uh uh um so foreign so oh uh these are hard drives hard drive hard drive
hard drive it's hard driving there laptop i've almost certainly i've almost certainly had
statistically speaking the number of hard drive the number of computers i've taken to the scrap
yard i've almost it's almost a certainty of scrapped bitcoin and you're talking about talk
about life-changing wealth it's just it's just thinking about that it's almost enough
to make you a little nauseous right if you're out there and you've
scrapped a couple hundred a couple thousand computers you have
probably thrown some bitcoin away and one day each bitcoin will most likely be
at least a million dollars all ready phones phones can have bitcoin phones can have bitcoin
maybe maybe i'll stop sending my phones to board sort right they're they're only like four
dollars a pound or whatever so that's a good price but if there's bitcoin on there i would
suspect the target the target devices would be the older you know computers made 10 years
ago smartphones from 10 years ago back when back when bitcoin was worthless
right no one cared about bitcoin like 10 000 bitcoin you might like the first
purchase was ten thousand bitcoin for two pizzas uh that person would buy almost a billionaire
coming up here pretty soon billion with a b trading in for two pizzas right that's
what bitcoin is doing over the last decade they really are comfortable there was also two little ladies basketballs
in there that are not bad not bad at all i'm thinking
uh i'm thinking cat cat beds cat cat perches on this on the chairs we
think surprisingly comfortable nice and thick anyways i hope you enjoyed the show
